These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with Hakea Cleaning. By making a booking with us, you agree to the terms below.
We encourage all clients to read these Terms and Conditions carefully before confirming a booking. Our goal is to be clear, fair and transparent about what we offer, what to expect, and how we work.

Hakea Cleaning provides professional general cleaning services for:
Residential homes
Offices and small commercial spaces
Airbnb and short-term rental propertiesOur services are designed to help keep properties clean, fresh, hygienic and well presented. We focus on general maintenance cleaning and routine cleaning support.

Our standard cleaning services may include, depending on the type of property and booking:
General cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and laundry areas
Dusting accessible surfaces
Vacuuming floors and carpets
Mopping hard floors
Wiping accessible surfaces
General tidying
Cleaning bedrooms, living areas, office areas and common spaces
Presentation cleaning for Airbnb and short-term rental propertiesAll services are limited to areas that are safe and reasonably accessible without specialised equipment.

To ensure clarity, our standard cleaning service does not include specialised or heavy-duty cleaning unless agreed in writing before the appointment.
Unless otherwise confirmed, our services do not include:
External window cleaning
Pressure washing
Deep cleaning of heavily neglected properties
Post-renovation or builders cleaning
End of lease or bond cleaning
Vacant or unfurnished property cleaning
Biohazard cleaning
Removal of excessive mould, hard water staining, calcium build-up, rust, or heavy soap scum with guaranteed results
Heavy lifting or moving large furniture
Cleaning in unsafe or hazardous conditions
Outdoor areas, balconies, garages or gardens unless specifically agreed
Inside cupboards, drawers, wardrobes, refrigerators, freezers or ovens unless specifically agreed
Washing dishes in large volumes
Laundry or ironing unless specifically agreed
Cleaning of areas that are difficult to access without special tools or laddersIf a property requires work outside the scope of a general clean, we may recommend a more suitable service or advise on what can reasonably be completed within the booked time.

Our aim is to provide a high standard of cleaning and a professional, reliable experience. We want your space to look and feel fresh, cared for and well maintained.
As every property is different, results can vary depending on:
The condition of the property
How long it has been since the last clean
The amount of clutter present
The booked duration
The type of surfaces and materials in the property
General wear and tearWhile we always do our best, some issues may not be fully resolved in a general cleaning appointment, especially where there is long-term build-up, staining, mould, pet hair, or surface deterioration.

All quotes are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Quotes are estimates only and may be adjusted if the actual condition, size, layout, or service requirements differ from what was originally described.
A booking is only confirmed once we have received the required information and sent confirmation to you.
We may request further details before confirming a booking so we can provide the most accurate service and estimate possible.

akea Cleaning may offer one-off and ongoing cleaning services, depending on availability.
This may include:
One-off cleaning
Weekly cleaning
Fortnightly cleaning
Monthly cleaning
Airbnb or short-term rental turnover cleaningOngoing service times and preferred days are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed permanently.

Clients must ensure that safe and timely access to the property is available at the scheduled time.
If you will not be present, you must provide clear instructions in advance regarding access, keys, lockboxes, alarms, building entry, pets, and parking.
If we are unable to access the property, waiting fees, call-out fees, or cancellation fees may apply.

Hakea Cleaning may supply cleaning products and equipment unless otherwise agreed.
If you ask us to use products or tools provided at the property, we are not responsible for any damage, unsatisfactory results, or issues caused by those products or tools.
If you have any preferences relating to products, surfaces, or materials, please let us know before the appointment.

Cleaning times are estimates only. The actual time required may vary depending on the condition and needs of the property on the day.
If the property requires more time than expected, we may:
Complete the work within the booked time and prioritise essential areas
Offer additional time at an extra cost, subject to availabilityIf a client chooses to end the service earlier than booked, the full agreed booking fee may still apply.

Any changes to your booking, including extra tasks, time changes, rescheduling, or access changes, should be requested as early as possible.
While we will do our best to assist, we cannot guarantee that last-minute changes can be accommodated.
Requests to add extra work during the appointment may not always be accepted, especially where it affects timing, safety, or the completion of the agreed service.

We ask that clients provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, a cancellation fee may apply.
If the appointment is cancelled on arrival, if access is not available, or if our team is unable to begin the service due to circumstances at the property, a call-out or cancellation fee may also apply.
This helps protect the time reserved for your booking and the scheduling of our team.

Payment is due in accordance with the invoice or payment terms provided at the time of booking.
We may accept payment by bank transfer, card, direct debit, or other approved payment methods.
Late payment may result in reminders, additional charges where applicable, or the suspension of future services until the account is finalised.

Clients are responsible for providing clear parking instructions.
If paid parking is required, parking costs may be added to the invoice unless otherwise agreed in advance.
If building access requirements, parking limitations, or long walking distances significantly affect the service, we reserve the right to adjust the booking or discuss revised pricing.

We aim to provide consistency wherever possible, however we cannot guarantee the same cleaner for every appointment.
Where applicable, we will keep notes on your preferences and property requirements to help maintain consistency and quality across visits.

The safety of our team is very important. Hakea Cleaning reserves the right to refuse, stop, or reschedule a service where the environment is unsafe, inappropriate, or outside the agreed scope of work.
This includes situations involving:
Unsafe property conditions
Aggressive behaviour
Threatening, inappropriate or disrespectful conduct
Unsafe pets
Hazardous substances
Lack of electricity or water where required
Requests involving heavy lifting or unsafe tasks
Tasks outside the agreed service scope
Active renovation, trade work, or other on-site conditions that may affect safety or cleaning qualityIf a service cannot proceed for safety or access reasons, fees may still apply.

We are happy to work in homes with pets and children, however clients are responsible for ensuring the environment remains safe and suitable for cleaning.
Pets should be secured where necessary, and children should be supervised appropriately so our team can work safely and efficiently.
Please advise us in advance if there are pets at the property, especially if they may be nervous, protective, or likely to escape.

Clients are responsible for securing cash, jewellery, artwork, sentimental items, and other fragile or valuable belongings before the cleaning appointment.
Please also inform us in advance of any delicate surfaces, fragile items, or areas requiring special care.
Hakea Cleaning is not responsible for loss or damage to unsecured valuables, fragile items, or items that were not clearly identified as requiring special handling.

Our team takes care while working in your property. If accidental damage occurs and is noticed during the appointment, we will aim to report it promptly.
If you believe damage has occurred, you must notify us in writing within 24 hours of the service and provide clear supporting information, including photos where possible.
Hakea Cleaning is not responsible for:
Pre-existing damage
Normal wear and tear
Faulty fixtures or fittings
Damage resulting from fragile, unstable, or poorly maintained items
Damage caused by client-supplied products or tools
Damage caused by unclear instructions or restricted access
Damage related to other service providers working at the property at the same timeSome surfaces or fixtures may appear normal but may be weakened by age, rust, previous repairs, or poor installation. In such cases, we cannot accept responsibility for damage arising from ordinary cleaning activity.

Client satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy with any part of the service, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of the appointment.
We will review your feedback fairly and, where appropriate, may offer a return visit or another reasonable solution.
This applies only to tasks that were part of the original booking and within the agreed scope of work.
It does not apply to limitations already outlined in these Terms and Conditions, including issues related to long-term build-up, mould, staining, calcium deposits, or other matters outside the scope of a general clean.

As Hakea Cleaning focuses on general cleaning and maintenance services, we do not guarantee:
Complete mould removal
Complete calcium or hard water stain removal
Complete grout restoration
Complete pet hair removal from all surfaces
Removal of deep-set stains, permanent marks, or damage
Results equivalent to specialised restoration, bond cleaning, or post-construction cleaning servicesWhere possible, we will still do our best to improve the presentation of these areas within the scope of the booked service.

Any personal information collected during booking or service delivery will be used only for communication, scheduling, invoicing, operational purposes, and providing our services.
We handle client information with care and do not share it unnecessarily, except where required for legitimate business operations or by law.

Clients agree not to directly hire, engage, or privately contract any cleaner introduced through Hakea Cleaning outside of the business, unless written permission has been provided.
This applies during the period of service and for 12 months after the last booking.

Hakea Cleaning will not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or inability to provide services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This includes severe weather, accidents, illness, emergencies, transport disruptions, power outages, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
Where possible, we will communicate promptly and work with you to reschedule the service.

Hakea Cleaning may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updated version will apply to future bookings from the time it is published or otherwise provided to clients.
